Tuff-Tackle
Here's a few pics of my first batch of flat baits...let me know what you think ! They are made with featherlite...have a brass wire through harness and are finished with Devcon 2Ton Epoxy. When tested all lures ran about 5 feet and suspend. RiverMan
I don't think you could have done a better job on those baits, those are beautiful! Congratulations. I'm curious: * Did you have any problems getting a smooth surface to work with on the Featherlite? I have noticed some pitting on the surface of the stuff while working with it. *Did you have trouble finding the correct weight? *Assuming the mold was built of RTV? If interested we are trying to grow the hard bait color sticky, am sure some folks would be interested in your color steps and mixes. Tuff-Tackle
Thanks everyone for the compliments. Riverman, I noticed a couple of them had a few open pores but they wasn't visible after painting was finished. I got lucky with the weight...I used a #4 split shot and poured a dozen lures. I finished 5 of them over the weekend and they all suspended...I feel sure the others will too. Coley, I'm new to the featherlite but so far I'm impressed.
