Slammingjack
Has anybody ever used CCM Hard plastisol? Just wondering If it's as good as the say on thier site. I have used LC hard is there any diff. in the two of them? The price is better at CCM, but cheaper ain't always better. Thank you for your help. MonteSS
Their medium is good. Never tried the hard. Curious what do you use the hard for? ...Bill
Slammingjack
Saltwater, some of the fish got some big teeth. Soft plastisol would be like one fish per bait.
Slammingjack
I have used LC 60-40. Which wasn't bad. But CCM don't have a medium-hard or it's not on thier site.
DaBehr
I use medium CCM plastic for Northern Pike and Walleyes...which have some serious teeth! I'm not sure if "hard" plastic would make much of a difference. What REALLY makes a big difference in durability is using the Caney Creek High Density additive. You can catch dozens of bass on a HD Wacky worm! I think most people that have used it don't think it makes a significant difference in the bait action (for bass baits). I use 2 tablespoons/4oz and get about a 1ft/sec drop rate on a Senko type worm (same as a salted bait). It does make the plastic a gray color...so you need to add extra color....and forget about white or transparent. I make all of my Northern Pike sized baits with HD just for the durability alone. MonteSS
Made my buddy some saltwater 7" swimbait with the HD additive and medium plastic. I added white drops and pearl powder and they are a little grey but pretty white. Very flexible and durable. He has not tried yet but said they should hold up awesome. ...Bill
toadfrog
I have the CCM hard . Once you get a bait made from it it is pretty tough without loosing much or any action . Takes some getting used to . Each to his own but it is not my favorite .
