Test Tubes

Recommended Posts

I have a what may be a really stupid question.  I have been seeing a lot of tube questions about dipping horizontal/vertical etc...   Would it be possible to pour the plastic into test tubes then insert a rod to squish the plastic to the outside to create the tubes?  Would it stick and not be able to get it out, or do you think it would work?

I ordered some test tubes to try it out but wanted to get some thoughts.

Thanks,

Kenneth

I have done similar to Roger but find dipping still quicker and overall better results.  Now for small tubes you can just fill the test tube let the plastic set and then slice.  I have done this for a long time on some baits with fair results.    I wouldn't go any bigger than what I have pictured, but most don't have easy access to smaller test tubes.

get yourself a small paint roller and some round fabric cutting blades separate with washers to you desired width for each tail and your good to go. p.s blades are pricey.
