steelee
Whats the best way to take the shine off unpainted lead jigs. I don't paint all my jigs, I have some fresh pours and need to dull them up. I've tried Coke but found it tarnished my hook which ended up rusting really easily. Thanks
cadman
Vinegar or paint stripper will make it a dull gray.
steelee
Thanks, Soak it, or just dip it?
cadman
On the vinegar I would soak it try about an hour and then take a look at it. I normally use paint remover to remove powder paint on my bad jigs, and as soon as the paint remover takes the paint off about 15-30 minutes, in that time the lead is a dull gray.
