Painter1
I have 4 oz bottle of colorant from Caney Creek (MF as I understand it) with the standard screw-on dropper spout and the red snap-on cap. All of the bottles have a steel nut inside to help mix upon shaking. I am having trouble getting the colorant out, even if I squeeze the bottle. I don't want to push something too big through the tip and over-size the hole. Any of you have this problem? What is best solution? Thanks, Mike
daveh
Take the cap off and clean it out
Painter1
I guess what I am asking is what method you use to clean them without enlarging the hole?
Jig Man
I have a little touch up tube for my truck. When I stops working I take the end off and soak it in lacquer thinner. What is the base of the paint? You should be able to find a solvent that will clean it out without sticking something down it.

Baitjunkys
Am I the only one who has this issue with colorants? If you have a old colorant bottle, Put a little worm oil or softener in it and flush the tip a bit. You likely could soak the tip in worm oil or softener and loosen it up as well. IMO worm oil is the best thing to clean injectors, colorant from your fingers, etc. Edited June 14, 2013 by Baitjunkys

wnybassman
Are you sure the nut isn't just the right size to block the neck? I worried about that when I put nuts in mine, but it ended up not being an issue.
