Saltfisher
Looking to buy 100-200, maybe more laminate bags to hold 5" stick baits, 4" craws, and 6.5" swim worms. Where is the best place to get them, for the best prices? Anyone have any for sale? Thanks

Saltfisher
I was about to order, but they want to charge me $16 for shipping on 100 bags. Wow...
wnybassman
The bags I have bought have come from Lurecraft.com
TroutSupport.com
I was about to order, but they want to charge me $16 for shipping on 100 bags. Wow... They are probably shipping fedex. A lot of suppliers are shipping to fedex or UPS because the reduced chance for lost shipment. We pay more, but end the end there's more guarantee that it'll get there. Frank
I remember people saying bear had clear bags for less than you could buy them from clear bags. Might want to check that out. No small order fee from bear either.
Bassinfool
My bags I use have come from bear. Only thing I would recommend is buying bags an inch bigger than the bait you plan to put inside it.
bluetickhound
Where would you go to get some cardboard tags for your bags printed up? I have looked all over the net and can't find what I'm looking for... I like the way Roboworm packages their products and would like to do the same thing when I'm at that point in my development.... Bassinfool
I'm fairly certain you could do it yourself as long as you have the required materials. I'm going to go the route of stick on labels since I think that will be a little easier and more convenient at least for my needs.
gone2long
check at your local office supply they should have cardstock for that purpose.
bluetickhound
Hadn't thought about that... Thanks for the heads up!!
basskat
If you order enough a local print shop can save you a lot of money. They have all the card stock and can fold and or hole punch for you as well.
bluetickhound
I'm trying to decide between that and having some custom printed heat seal zip lock type bags... I bet the cardboard stock deal would turn out to be cheaper...
Frank
I live in a bigger town and have not found ANYBODY that can even come close to the price I got from Got Print .com. They made me 1k post cards(6x4) for 54 dollars shipped. They were on shinny heavy card stock printed on one side. I sent them my label I had been printing and they had the order to me in a week. Just fold them and staple. I have yet to ask if they can make me wider ones but these look good. But larger quantities are cheaper still. Cheaper than the ink I was buying. Frank
No they are not. They sell them as post cards. Think it would take longer to line up the holes and staple than just fold and punch holes after. Frank.
Driftwood
Try Bison Bags. They also do a reverse negative print in case you want printed bags.

Think it would take longer to line up the holes and staple than just fold and punch holes after. Frank. If they are done properly, the holes should line up perfectly when you fold the label on the scored line. A lot of print shops don't like to do that because it's a hassle for them to get it right. It sure is nice to have when you have an order of 2500 bags....thankfully we have women to do the packaging, they can package 3 or 4 for every 1 that I do =) Printed bags would be the way to go, it's just a big initial investment. @ Driftwood; Have you purchased printed bags from Bison before? If so, what was the total initial cost?
jbob
baitjunkys.com have bait bags and i think in four or five different sizes hope this helps
Driftwood
I believe the start-up for the plates was around $300.00 ( 3 plates, 1 per color.) and the bags started at 17 cents each if you purchased 20,000. Not exactly sure of those numbers for the per bag price but I'm sure it's close. Also we had to send the first shipment back due to peeling as they did not do the laminate properly but they did correct it.
Saltfisher
Thanks guys. I am getting bags at baitjunkys.com and also getting custom sticker labels made for the bags. It's just easier for me to do it that way.
