basskat
I'm leaving out early Saturday morning for New Hampshire. Seems I've let my wife talk me into visiting her parents. Anyone know JUST how far New Hampshire is from Mississippi? It's 1410 miles to their driveway! See, told you I was crazy. So what kind of fish they have up there? What baits do I carry? Any of you guys live up that way and want to fish a day? Would keep me from going into DT's and hurting someone! I'm going to carry my laptop. A week with no fishing and no tackleunderground would drive me off the deep end. Two good things about this trip. 1 Last trip it was 30 below and the wind was howling! Us suthern' boys ain't got no business up there in the winter. 2 I have tickets to a Red Sox game at Finway park!
Joe
Basskat, I know just how you feel! I'm leaving later this month for Branson and then on to my wife's aunt's in Chicago for a few days. The saving grace here in Bass Pro Shop in Springfield is on the way. Joe
basskat
I hope you have a full day planned for Bass Pro. That place is huge. It takes more than a day to see everything. My problem is the money runs out! I do plan on fishing a little. My wife's folks have some beaver slashes on their place. Guess I'll carry something small for those yankee fish. At least I don't have to worry about cottonmouths up there. I ain't skeerd of a bear but look out when there's a snake under my feet. Have a safe trip! PaBasser
Hey Basskat you should feel lucky. New Hampshire is great for smallmouths, the locals there hardly fish for them. Most lakes are shallow with lots of granite rocks in the lakes. If you get a chance to fish, you might just think you went to heaven, and have the lake to yourself and the smallmouths. Good luck. PaBasser
You got Red Sox tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!! You ought to feel real lucky then. You should go out and buy a lottery ticket, Red Sox tickets are hard to come by. I use to live up in New England and I`m still and always will be a Red Sox fan. I wish I was going on your trip. basskat
I ordered the Sox's ticket over a month ago. A game in Finway Park has always been a dream. It's expensive! Tickets cost about double what I've paid at just about every ball park I've gone to. It's an inter-league game, they play San Diego. What part of Pa you in? We're gooing to stop there over-night. PaBasser
Basskat, I live in Howard,Pa. Not far from Bald Eagle State park (Sayers Dam). About 12 miles north of Rt.80. Give me a hollar when you get near, maybe we could get together. PaBasser
basskat
I have returned from my venture to the Northeast. The Red Sox game was great. Classic ballgame and ball park. Pedro vs Wells. Sox won 1-0! Pa we spent the night on the way up in Carisle(may have mis-spelled that). I'm not sure how close we were to you. On the way home we drove non-stop 24 hours so I could make a tournament Saturday. That's a long time to spend in a pickup seat. Saw a lot of beautiful country but I'll stick to the South!
