bulldog123
Does anyone out there know if stick-on gill plates or fins are available for purchase?
RayburnGuy
Don't know of any stick on fins or gill plates, but here is a link for a way to add fins to a lure that I came up with a while back. Hope it helps. quickdraw
I just started using water transfer decals also for everything from detail pieces to entire skins as shown by Larry Dahlberg in his videos. Looks good and works great.
RayburnGuy
If your not that familiar with how to edit photos to build fin templates out of holler and I will try to help. I'm no expert by any means, but should be able to guide you through the process. It's really quite simple once you get the hang of it. There's a photo of a bait I used this process on somewhere in my gallery if you care to go to the trouble of looking it up. I haven't personally used this process for gill plates, but can't think of any reason it wouldn't work. It's entirely possible that you could combine the fin and gill as one decal so you would only have to fit 2 decals instead of 4. good luck, Ben
