mark poulson
I just saw this video on Western Bass" http://www.westernbass.com/forum/strike-cam-delta-video-t84931.html I don't know the person/people who made it, but the camera looks like it will be priceless for monitoring lure action underwater. RayburnGuy
At one time in my life I did a lot of bow fishing for alligator gar and other fish not considered "game fish" here in Texas. We would go out mostly at night with Q-beams or generator run quartz lights. Many times I was amazed to see just how many bass would be in an area. Even seeing a number of fish that would be considered "trophy" size. Several times we would go back the next day figuring we would catch some of these giants only to go without catching a thing. Thinking the reason we hadn't caught anything was because they had left the area. Another bow hunting trip would prove they were still there so I can definitely agree with what the guy in the video said about the number of fish that see your lure without you ever realizing they are there. If you've never been out on your favorite lake at night you should give it a try if local laws permit. You might be astounded at just how many fish are in some of the spots you've been fishing. mark poulson
Thanks Dieter. Good to hear from you again. I was just excited about the underwater camera technology, and how it could make lure testing easier. It would also let an angler see how many fish are actually interested in his lures, so he or she could know if they needed to change lures or presentations. Thanks , Mark , ........interesting aspect , indeed , .........probably if one sees them just swimming after the lures without hitting them , ....then you'd know , it might be time to switch lures ! mark poulson
i would hate to get it snagged up and break off that would probably take a chunk out of the wallet. Amen!!! The guy who came up with the camera is a web designer, and he says he's in the process of developing a website for the videos. As soon as I have the link, I'll post it.
