1.5" Twister Tail Grub 18 Cavity

Looking at purchasing this mold and need to see if anyone is hand injecting it without problems. I have the one color grub of the same bait and it takes a quick hard burst on the injector to get the tails to fill out,
and that's with 8 cavities. Now I'll be filling 18. I'm worried the
hand injector won't handle the job. So I need replies! Thanks.

I'm totally new to injection so by all

means don't take my word as Gospel but in my limited experience I have found that 5 cavities is about all my hand injector can fill reliably from a single sprue.... I find that single or double cavity molds work really well with hand injectirs but if I were stepping up to production capable molds I would want to get an injection press like Jacobs sells... Which, unless something heretofore unforseen happens (like an unlocked Brinks truck turning over in front of my house with no witnesses to see me scoop up all the $$$) that won't be happening any time soon....

Why don't you ask Rick?  He also has a Facebook page where you can ask.  https://www.facebook.com/#!/JacobsBaitsLlc  I have one of his grub molds, although I have not shot it in a long time.  It fills just fine.  (I made my own)  I wonder about your little mold not filling.  I have made small molds, and they fill so fast that its hard to tell when they are full.  It seems like the plunger hardly moves.  I think part of that is the injector itself.  Some dynamic.  I've got three 12 cavity 1.5" grub molds I cut for my own use, and no matter which one I shoot first it always seems like the first one takes more force and the plunger barely moves.  The next two shots feel "normal."  I suspect it will be fine.  Rick kind of specializes in those small baits.

I agree with Bob.Why would he sell them if they Will not shoot.
