imrtstc Posted July 12, 2013 Report Share Posted July 12, 2013 I am using Lure Works vinyl laquer by Spike it and spraying a urethane 2 part top coat over it. the clear coat has started to peel off the bait all the way to the basecoat of vinyl laquer. has anyone had this problem or does anybody have any suggestions? bobv Posted July 12, 2013 Report Share Posted July 12, 2013 Sounds like the urethane is not bonding to the under coat. What urethane is it? Does it have a solvent base? I'm not familiar with vinyl paints but it may be they don't mix with some top coats. I would call Spike it and ask about compatibility with top coats.
