Ed_White Posted November 1, 2013 Report Share Posted November 1, 2013 Frank, Thanks for that reply, I am obviously overheating the clearasol, I had it getting to 325-330 to get it where I thought it was thin enough to dip with...I will try the lower temp and see if I can get setup with something to maintain the heat with having to go back to the micro over and over. Frank Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 At first I was pushing it to see what it take to get it to yellow. 360 ish and it yellowed pretty fast. I used a temp gauge and checked it against my ir gun. It was about the same. I left it in the plastic for awhile and it stayed pretty close to 310 315. The coating was thin yet tough and stayed that way for the whole time I used it. One thing I did not think I mentioned is on my griddle I put the the cup over the elements corner.
