Slammingjack Posted July 20, 2013 Report Share Posted July 20, 2013 Has anybody used LC Minnow Silver? Stuff looks like a Med. gray in the bottle With very, very small silver glitter. I put like 5 drops in a 1/2 cup plastic as I dropped it in it looked gray. I mixed up, Heated and poured. It came out clear!? Glitter but no gray at all. Is this the way this stuff is? Lonestarbaitcompany Posted July 20, 2013 Report Share Posted July 20, 2013 Put a very small screw or a couple of bbs in the bottle, I put these in all my colorants. It will help with the mixing process a lot less shaking to get it mixed up, not for the silver you have to experiment with that color it takes a lot of drops to get a deep silver, I use a combo of that and heavy silver flake between the two you can get a great silver finish. You might even want to start with 4 oz add 15-20 drops pour a small bait add 15-20 drops pour another bait etc until you get what you are looking for. Just remember always count the drops and keep track, the one time you forget it will be just what you want and you'll spend hours trying to refigure it. I found a perfect mixture to be about 6 to 8 drops per ounce of plastic, and it MUST be mixed heavily as that stuff will settle in a heartbeat. It also works very well with hi-lite colors. Blue Shad is a perfect example. It's just minnow silver with blue hi-lite and a touch of medium black flake. You can try that with just about any hi-lite color.
