Createx/auto Air

Recommended Posts

I think I used TCP when I got all my createx paints.  I bought the whole line of paints at one shot.  I have used createx for years.  Love the colors.  I first started airbrushing when I was in 8th grade.  Now that I am 35 createx is all that I have ever used.  I use an Iwata airbrush as well.  Dual action and gravity fed.  The reason I use gravitity feed vs bottle is because I can just add a few drops of paint and change colors very quickly.  Plus if you have to mix paint you don't have to mix a lot of it at one time.  I hope this helps.

Hi Freddy,

I'm new to lure and airbrushing but I've used two types of createx paint the first was the low end standard paint which I didn't like much, I found it to be a little rubbery when dry and I was able to easily wash it off with water. The second was the createx wicked brand and I really like this paint, it much more durable not rubbery and dries very fast. There's a great color selection with the createx wicked and well worth the extra money.

The "low end" Createx as you call it was designed to be a T-shirt paint. It has to be heat set to become waterproof. If you can "easily wash it off with water" I would suspect your not heat setting it.

I've ordered airbrushing supplies and equipment from both TCP and Coast Airbrush and they both gave good service. The stuff I've ordered from Coast was a little cheaper. And if my memory is working today it seems that Coast was a little cheaper on the shipping as well.

I use to use them both frequently and being in ca i started to use coast airbrush more. That is until they sent me the wrong needle for an airbrush, when i told them about it they totally blew me off trying to get me to deal directly with paasche (the manufacturer) of the needle and told me how much longer it would take if i dealt with them. It was only a 8/9 dollar part but i had spent hundreds with them in the past and their customer service was lousy at best. Thats the last time i dealt with them.

Tcp however has overnighted a 12 dollar item they left out of my order without me asking. Their service has been A+ in my book and i try and tell anyone i can. Hope this helps

Think about how much you really save before you commit to just buying online.

I'm sure that, for people painting baits for a living, price is really important, since there isn't any extra meat on the bone to spare.

But, as a hobby builder, convenience trumps price for me sometimes, since I use very small quantities of paint.

If I run out while I'm painting and a local shop, like Michael's or Graphaid, has what I need, I'll pay for their brick and mortar store margin, because being able to continue working is more important to me than the extra money.

If I know I'm running low on a couple of colors, I will order it through TPC or Coast, since my need is not immediate and I have the luxury of time.
