Landry
What is the best plastisol to use for drop shot baits as far as softness and floatability. I wants bait to be horizontal and soft. I figured a high floating and soft plastic could be weighted to neutral with a small amount of salt??? I was leaning towards m-f super soft Thanks Landry. Landry
I really need some guidance from you pouring veterans:) Narrowed it down to 2: - Caney Creek crystal clear soft - M-F super soft Which of these pours the best, floats and is soft for drop shot baits? Thanks! Landry
Frank
I would say to try Spikeit injectasol soft and med soft. Both of these float well and will give you a real durable bait. Not saying the others won't but for the money you could pretty much get both of those for the same money. In gallons I mean. When microwaved you will get bubbles that could be good for you. If you shoot right after heating they will suspend in the bait and float better. But this won't last forever as they will go away after a few minutes. Frank. Frank, Do the bubbles stay if you inject it?
Frank
Yes but not for long. They rise pretty quick when it sets there. They gather around the edges on top. I guess you could keep stirring them back in but it won't be the same as when it comes out the first time. On reheats they are gone. Bassinfool
I use the med soft pourasol from spike it and without adding any salt the baits will float a light hook like a 1/0 drop shot hook. I use just a tiny bit of powdered salt, 1/2 a teaspoon to a 1/2 cup of plastic and the end result is a bait that will float nice and horizontal while still having a lot of action.
