Pvc Blanks

Recommended Posts

I've been reading alot of posts concerning using PVC crankbodies, and it seems that everyone using PVC is making the bodies themselves.  Do you know anyone/anywhere OR is anyone (TU members) are willing to sell some PVC blanks?

I'm looking for both flat and rounded bodies 2 1/4 - 3in long.

Thanks again,

George.

Most of us who use PVC are just home builders (apologies to the pros here) and we cut them out of PVC decking and trim board.  It is relatively labor intensive, so I, for one, really don't want to make bait bodies for sale.

You might have more luck with guys who pour resin-type baits from molds they've made.

PVC Decking .. all I can find at my Local Home Depot and Lowe's is very pricey Trex and Veranda Brand .. and Im not even sure if its PVC.. looks like it has wood particles mixed in the deck boards.. the only other PVC I can find is back in the trim section .. .. I did find a Azek dealer 20 miles away .. but don't know what they carry as far as sizes .. Id prefer 1/2 x 3 or 4" for flat sides and suspending minnow jerks.. is what lowes and home depot sell .. is that PVC ?

Well I just answered my own question LOL ... Azek doesn't have wood pieces in it .. and you can buy all you want all over the internet .. and is much more affordable than crap the big box building supplies carry

I have scrap expanded PVC foam  that I throw away it is 3/8" thick and can be chemically welded together to make it thicker.

U probably would not be able to purchase the weld on  to do it yourself.

The plastic is free to anyone that would want it, I just ask that you pay for paypal fees and shipping.

If u want it welded to make it thicker then add a few bucks.

It can be cut to size on a table saw with a plywood blade, jig saw cutting is too slow and will melt the plastic but it can be filed or sanded to smooth out.

A router can be used and makes a nice clean edge.

email me if anyone is interested predatorbassbaits@charter.net

I use the plastic for my other business pvccages.com
