PughDesigns Posted June 8, 2004 Report Share Posted June 8, 2004 I suppose my message to the group is just like most others. I am a 26 yr old "newbie" or "rookie". I was thinking of the fishing lures that a friend and I had "whittled" when we were about 12 or so (wish I had kept all of them now )......so I decided I would see what links were on the net....and I found this site. I thought for a kid our lures were pretty good , but after seeing some of the amazing work the members of this forum have created, I am truly amazed. The skill, knowledge, and creativity is unreal. Granted some bait pictures I looked at were "better" then others, but overall.....I am stunned. I should have continued my "hobby", but its never to late to learn. I hope to post some pics of my creations. I am a pretty good "whittler" "carver" whatever the choice of term....and with the help of this forum, I hope to produce a few great lures. I think these will be my gifts to friends and family.
