Living Rubber Turning White

Recommended Posts

I never saw it go white after a day but I have witnessed it going white after a few months. What is probably happening is either the dye is bad or it was so fresh that it wasn't set, from what I have been told about living rubber is that the process used to dye it has to be done for a specific amount of time or the dye will wash off quickly. If you just got it then contact the place you got it from, they will be happy as it probably isn't just what you have but an entire lot of it is bad. I stopped using it a long time ago due to the fact of the care involved when storing rubber skirted jigs and spinnerbaits over the winter. If you don't store them right they clump together and they are junk, they also melt quickly but if you like rubber you can get bio-silk, it looks, feels ,and acts like rubber but it is silicone, all the action with none of the problems.
