J lure
Hello guys, I was hoping I could get your help. I plan on having a mold made and I was going to use a #4 28* weighted mustad hook incorporated into my mold. I was wondering how you would go about getting the dimensions/ cnc codes/ cad info that already exsist for this hook/ setup. I tried email do it molds with out and success. Anyone already have the cad drawing? Thanks Jason http://do-itmolds.co...ry&path=1_7_329
dlaery
I have several but not that one. If you know the number you can go to http://mustad.no/catalog/ If the hook is there, go to that hook, click on the picture and another window will open and you can print that and most of those are accurate, but I would want an actual hook to check it. I'm not for sure what you want exactly. What has your mold maker asked for?

dlaery
Click on the picture and another window should open, if it doesn't, you enable pop-ups, then print that picture, compare to a real hook and then dimension like the example I posted on the other thread. Now since I know the number of the hook, I have a 3d model of the 5/0 and 6/0. but if you dimension the the drawing and send a hook to the mold maker, I would think that is all you need. dlaery
You know, I looked at that hook and don't have a clue how I would dimension that. When I make a mold, what I do is make a 3d model of the hook and then use that to make the cavity for the hook to lay in.
