BuckMaxx
I am trying to build some 1/2 watermelon 1/2 chartreuse senkos. How do I pour 50/50 senkos without being swirl? have been doing some reading on how to divide a pyrex cup with flashing to make a swirl. Also I read that you cant have the edges on the flashing shiney how do I dull this to keep it from sparking?
ipt
the best way to do it without a twin injector is to put a cut open soda can in between the mold halves. pour your first color, then open the mold and remove one side and pour the 2nd color

Use non-bleed watermelon and chartreuse and your prayers will be answered. Remeber, both pots of plastisol must be the same temperaure and the viscosity the same. You'll need an IR gun to accurately read the temps in the Preso Pots. You can pour two color sticks w/ Lee hand pour pots but that is one tricky accomplishment w/ satifactory consistency. I beleive High Rock has a system( sold by baitjunky's.com) but i have no experience so i cannot comment on it. edited for additional content. bluetickhound
I was about to mention the High Rock system from Baitjunky's myself... I don't have it yet but I will be getting it soon. I was sold in Bear's sytem and still believe it to be top shelf, but for less than half the $$$ the High Rock system appears to be mote in my price range... No knock on Bear's at all... I just can't justify spending that kind of money yet... That and I already have the Presto pots....
Apdriver
I have the High Rock system w/o the heaters. I use the presto pots with just the twinjector holder and it works well. That being said, this is injection molding and it will be an expense to get into it. If you hand pour, IPT's suggestion sounds great. A lot of injection molds use a plate for two color molds. Shoot the first color with the plate, take plate out and shoot second color. Same as the can, just hand pour method.
smallmouthaholic
Question-can you use the High Rock dual injectionsystem w/ stirrors inside the presto pots? The heated injector alleviates many problems associated w/two-color injecting if you require consistent production. I don't use auto stirrers as I am not doing production work. Just before I shoot my molds, I stir. As for heating the injectors, I put them back in the presto pots and have the HRM holder adjusted to let the twin injector rest in the hot plastisol in the presto pots. Right before I shoot again I pull and purge plastisol in the injector to purge any air and to fully heat them. Works good, lasts along time.
