Shane D
im confused. so if a person cant afford a injection system, dont do laminates?
smallmouthaholic
Is the shooting start not basicly two injectors with a blending block attached? There is no blending block w/ the Shooting Star System. The injector sits in a controllable, heated block. You draw your two-colors ,then remove the dual injector fro,m the heated block and place it in the mold opening. Type and configuration of the mold(s0)determine which way you turn the dual injector to obtain two color injecting.

Yes- if you want to save frustration and wasting your money. You can purchase bass tackle's two color injector and blending block if you wish but you'll need a method to keep your plastic and block warm
Shane D
i use the twinjector and heat it and blending block with a gridle.i am considering the double barrel set up from high rock molds.

It sounds like you already have a two-color injection system.i guess you have $300.00 invested (including the griddle)and wish to spend another +/- $200.00 for a H.R. System. That said, you still will not have stirrers in your presto pots w/ the H.R. System. To each his own. That's almost the same as buying +/-80 bags of Yamamoto Laminated Stick worms. Now if you're intending to sell baits that a different story in itself. Good luck w/ whatever system you choose.
Shane D
i hand pour laminate sticks with dividef cups. i do inject some baits but i still hand pour several baits. i use the gridle for more than the blending block.
Baitjunkys
there is no need to heat the block at all. all tho doing so surely does not hurt anything.
Baitjunkys
Just for the record, the double barrel injector was designed by baitjunkys, and sold by Baitjunkys, Hrm does make a couple pieces for us. The double barrel rack is designed and manufactured by hrm.

If I wanted to save money, I would sell my bass boat, all my equipment, and never would have gotten into this bait making stuff. I throw the little green rascals back in the drink most times anyway. We aren't saving money. We're having fun doing it though. Can we agree to disagree?

My bad and i apologize for that mistake. Speaking from experience.I personally don't care for blending blocks since it's another path for the plastisol to travel before entering the molds and does have to be opened and cleaned .It works well for you in the video. I also prefer mechanical stirrers inside the P.P. to keep the plastic from changing colors and possibly scorching.

Some day Maybe ill try to tackle the mass producer. I don't use stirrers myself, I can see were they would make it easier. again easy costs money, you of anyone here, are well aware of that. We didn't try to reinvent the wheel, Only to improve on something that was already there and make it a bit more user friendly. haha i dont think anyone got into the bait making business to save money. well if they did they would have gotten out shortly after! this is an addiction and a hobby If that inst the truth I have no idea what is. I don't know if the dual injector, whether BJunky or BT's is really budget user or not. As a hobbiest and not someone that sells baits, it's just the ticket to make some really nice laminates with the supplies and equipment most guys already have. If you aren't selling, how many baits can you use or give away? I think it's just the ticket for the hobbiest like myself. Produces more than I can use. Anything more high volume for me would be a waste of resources.
FLIPPY
I got into this as a hobby at first..I did a tourny and did very well with the baits I had made..next thing you know my friends that I had given the baits to also were doing well in tournys..I wanted colors that they do not make..my buddy makes jigs and I coordinate colors to them and they rock..I do laminates also in colors Gary Yamamoto hasn't even thought of..and I sell them becausepeople can't find..and won't ..I don't make a killing but it supports my pouring addiction and gives me plenty of free baits..c'mon Gary you haven't thought of a elewive color..lol

Presto Pots are an in-expensive start.Their thermostats vary and temps.must be monitored w/ an IR gun.Shortened width, paddle wheels for the stirrers may still work w/ your system.Someone just has to try modified paddle wheels .Presto pots are certainly not the ultimate deal but are in-expensive and get the job done. New ideas are being developed as i type. I think your dual injector w/ the P..P. application is a neat, Innovative invention. Ideas like yours are always welcome and lead to better performing products in the future.
