Backwaterbaits
Hi, I'm looking for someone that can pour some craw worms similar to the old Hales Craw. I'd be looking for black blue, red shad, green pumpkin and blue fleck. Also interested in a 4" straight tail finesse worm similar to the 4" Berkley Finesse worms. Thanks, Dominic BackwaterBaits@gmail.com

gone2long
Hum I see them pre-rigged on jigs but don't see them sold separately, interesting.
RayburnGuy
As far as I know that's the only way you can get them these days Gon2long. They were definitely big around here for many years and I'm not real sure when they quit selling them by the bag. So many people were using them that they developed a sort of "cult following". Backwaterbaits
It seems that's the only way. It makes no sense that they'd use them as trailers on the jigs, but not sell them. Hopefully someone can pour something similar. They are great baits.
Apdriver
I have a pal that fishes a gene larew craw all the time as a jig trailer. Looks very similar. Here's a link with photo. http://www.genelarew.com/4-salt-craw.htm
Backwaterbaits
That will work. Lots of colors too. Thanks for the help. Edited September 5, 2013 by Backwaterbaits
BuckMaxx
I used GL salt craws for many years! We used to buy them by the handfulls in bulk bins for 10 cents ea.. I haven't used them in many years so I looked into buying more. HOLY cow! $7 a bag! The were always fish producers I ran the black blue pincher on jigs. I think if you shopped around you probably could find them a bit less expensive. Also, that is why many of us got into the hobby of pouring, injecting, and building our own stuff. Seems our salaries aren't keeping up with inflation.
Backwaterbaits
Buck, I'll look them up. Black with blue, that was the one. $7 is a bit pricey. Apdriver, That's why I started making baits also. I don't pour though. Only jigs, buzzbaits and Spinnerbaits.
Apdriver
Backwater, Here is a bait that looks real similar. Pretty cheap mold from BT. What do you think? http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/r9tyo.ruqm9/v/vspfiles/photos/4craw-2.jpg
Apdriver
BW, Let me ask you another question. Have you ever tried say a Rage Craw with the claws that give a lot of action? I actually prefer that type of bait over just the pincher that has very little action.
Backwaterbaits
That mold does look similar. I might just try the rage craw. I was looking for a thinner profile craw as I've always done well on the hales, both as a flipping bait and a jig trailer. I'll probably pick up some rage craws and some salt craws. Its not like they'll go to waste.
BuckMaxx
There is a mold on ebay right now very similar to rage craw. but it would be tough to pour as there is a lot of curves. I primarily fish a craw chunk now I can easily pour them two color and if I don't add anything the pinches float so they make a deadly very aggressive look to the jig.
