FLIPPY Posted September 19, 2013 Report Share Posted September 19, 2013 Who uses salt and why..I use to but had a guy I made some for make them without it..he uses some kind of washers as an oring..I tried these weird washers and the action on the stick bait is crazy. And that's with bears medium plastisol..I have another guy that puts finish nails in the front and rear..he doesn't want salt either..which is great for me..now I can make some crazy non distorted colors Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lonestarbaitcompany Posted September 20, 2013 Report Share Posted September 20, 2013 It's all preference, most of the people that add salt add it for weight, I don't use salt because it give the fish a different look, slower fall different action, fishermen seem to put a lot of people characteristics into a bass. Personally I don't think a bass spits a bait because it doesn't have salt. If it could sate the salt it would spit that nasty plastic out instantly, there is far more surface area of that then salt.
