Q For Frank

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, not sure if any of you are big on the big swimbaits for largmouths like the deps line, but i have a Q. So these lures use a rubber/silicone skin material over the wood, i started custom painting them with createx. Paint seems to adhere fine, but i know if i clear coat it i run the rusk of the clear cracking, espescially with the flexibility in the tail section. I was thinking of not clear coating them but im not sure if the paint will remain intact after i heat cure it. I swim these in open water so not worried about the paint getting too beat, just wondering if this is a good idea, or what you guys wuld recomend. Does anyone fish their wood lures without clear?

Thanks,

jeff

*i posted this in the hardbait section and it was recomended to post it here care of the guru frank lol
