A-Mac
So about 6 months back I made the mistake of pouring resin lures in the house. Well, fate happened and I spilled some on the carpet when mixing. Do you guys have any ideas to try and remove this stuff? Perhaps something that would soften it up enough to allow me to scrub at it. I wouldn't fret much, but I am renting the joint and the lease is up soon. Any suggestions are appreciated! I'm just trying to avoid dumping acetone on it first. Thanks. scrubs
If you go with the acetone test on a small hidden section of carpet first. Try it to see if it melts the hardened resin first also. But I'm sure you would have done both. If it's a really small spot could you cut a few fibers in a closet and patch with that? Would a heat lamp soften it? Would ice harden the resin enough that it would crack out of the fibers? bill Edited October 14, 2013 by scrubs
mark poulson
I feel for you. Scrubs has the best ideas. I really like the ice idea. Otherwise, cut a piece out of a closet floor and try to patch the carpet. Good luck.
