BlueBird
Hey guys and gals. I have made up a pile of spinner baits, I had a customer tell me I was putting the first blade (one on clevice) on backwards. Said he had to take it off and turn it around cause it would not spin. Any body havbe a photo of the wrong way and one of the proper way to put one of these blades on. I always assumes you would put the blade on with the cup of the blade facing down. But I may have no clue of what I am doing so a phot of one would be great
RayburnGuy
Not sure where you'd find a picture of the "wrong way, but all you'd have to do to see the "right way" is take a look in the gallery or at any of the online tackle stores. Every spinnerbait I've ever used had the cupped face of the blade pointing away from where the line is tied. Ben
smalljaw
Rayburn guy is correct, the cup side faces up away from the body while the finished side faces down toward the body, if you are still confused take a look at some spinnerbait pics on the net, there are tons of them. Tony Maxwell
Thanks Guys, Been making spinnerbaits for 50+ years, and now I'm confused. Finished side? Concave? Convex? I've always put the smaller blade on so that the center of the blade is farther away from the shaft than the edges. I do know that the spacing between blades and the relative sizes account for some variance is actions. Let me know what you think. Cmfontenot
Hopefully this helps with the blade confusion.
