goolies
I thought someone may be able to use this. I create rattles for my hard baits using a pen housing,1/16" thick poly carbonate, and 7/32" diameter steel balls. I cut the pen housing to the desired length. I use a 1/4" hole punch to make small discs to use as flush end caps for the housing. The discs are pressed into the ends of the housing and can be sealed with super glue. I like the sound I get from the polycarbonates discs. It's not as "tinny" sounding as metal. Let me know if you have any questions. mark poulson
Interesting idea. Thanks for sharing. You might try some larger plastic drinking straws for the barrel. They're cheaper than ball point pens, and come in lots of sizes, free with your drink.

I get the pens in bulk for about $0.30 each and I get at least 6 rattles from each pen.
