jigmeister
I emailed mustad but have yet to get a response. Has anyone checked into this before as far as how much additional cost it will be for some custom made hooks?
LedHed
You're probably better off going to Eagle Claw. Not a big fan with their older stuff but their newer stuff seems to be getting better. Was told awhile back (from a writer for a So Cal outdoor paper) that EC would do special orders or at least work with you. Am interested in what you find. Talked to Owner last week about pricing for a 1000 jig hooks. They wanted to know what I was going to use them for. Told them it was for personal use ? they got busy and told me to send them an email. They make a good hook but so do some other companies that are a little more user friendly?? Richoc
I belive the mustad custom hook runs are a min.# of 10,000. And it will cost more to have it done. Had spoken to them on this before, and had notes. But note book was taken from the room. We bought direct and had a min. of 10,000 for that even. So it would be a big purchase. Have you check there web site info.? http://www.mustad.no/
WidowMaker
Most often companies will not run a specialty item unless its for a specific period of time involving the operator and the machine. Suppose you are requesting an item that can be produced at a rate of a 3000 count per man hour. Lets say you are in need of 18000 pieces which should take right at six hour to produce. You might as well get ready to pay for 24000 pieces because the majority of time companies will not do a production run unless its for an eight hour period. And thats not counting the initial cost of the set up fee to run the product.
