Mad Moose Baits
Would like to hear from the guys who make the bigger inlines with two blades.... Which do you prefer and why?
canuck
I was told by a good source that the double s sturrup was designed to work with no less than #9 blades and manufacturers are hesitant to use them in production of big double inlines because of cost. I have used double #3 clevis interlocked with #5 colorado blades and double #4 clevis with double #8 colorados on .040 wire succesfully.I do not recommend the folded type clevis as they tend to bend or twist .A result of casting pressure and torque. I also noted while using two single clevis the blades do contact each other occasionally at some point of the retrieve causing additional noise and vibration irregularities. The blades track a little behind one another and don't seem to swing directly opposed each other across the shaft diameter like they might if using a connected double sturrup.Im sure there is suttle differences in performance between the two different styles of mounting . I for one would like to see the double s sturrup clevis made in say a #3 size just to check out how it might perform for smaller pike sized blades. Hope this helps.
