swohio
I am interested in making some horse head jigs and will probably buy the mold to make things easier. What I wondered about are the default eagle claw 570 hooks which are recommended. I am primarily fishing for saugeyes and bass but caught an accidental 30 pound flathead on a jig this year and I don't like my hooks being straightened, LOL. Should I go with a heavier hook or should I make some jigs with the lighter mustad for crappie use and pour others with a heaving hook maybe the mustad 32756? Can I use a paint marker to paint small volumes for personal use or do I need to buy jig paint or jig powder paint? Tks
RayburnGuy
You should get a lot more replies to your post if you put it in the Wire Baits forum. Those guys know pretty much all there is to know about hooks, molds and lead heads. Ben
