Ihave searched the forum and can’t seem to find the answers to these twoquestions. Will an injector from one brand work with the mold of another manufacturer? i.e. BassTackle injector with a Bear mold?If I also want to do POP molds, does someone make a spout to use in the POP mold to fit an injector? gone2long Posted October 30, 2013 Report Share Posted October 30, 2013 Most of the mold makers standardized their injector nozzle, I believe it is 5/8" I am not aware of any POP nozzle you have to make that into the mold yourself. gmintimidator Posted November 2, 2013 Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 Yeah, anyones injector should work with most molds. 5/8 is the nozzle size that seems to be standard. I have a BT injector and molds from Bears, Delmart, CCM/Do-it, Bass Tackle. Are people injecting pop? From what I've read people are making 2 sided baits, but hand pouring them. Lonestarbaitcompany Posted November 2, 2013 Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 Actually injecting PoP molds works awesome, in most cases you don't even need to add "air passages" or reliefs because the air naturally slips out between the mold halves. See my link and go to detailed pop molds to get an idea of what is possible. You can easily make the injector hole with a 5/8 paddle drill bit.
