DILfishing
what are the differences? i know the Lee pot allows you to pour out of it, but i will be doing a lot of injecting also. What the the + and - of each?

SlowFISH
I have a used Lee and a Presto..... If you're doing alot of hand pours... the Lee pot may be an effective item for you. I have a hard time controlling the temp but there are a bunch of threads on how you can attempt to solve this... I just pour darker colors or one layer for a laminate from it and that works for me. The Presto can hold alot more plastic - and due to it's size makes hand injection (filling the injector) easier. It seems to hold temp a bit better as well - cleanup is much easier as the teflon lets the plastic peel out easily. They each have their merits.... alot depends on what you've going to do with it. I will admit though - if I had to buy another - I'd buy another presto. J.

gone2long
Yes sir that is correct, it can be modified quite easily and tap and install a pour valve, just do a search on the subject it's easy but there are some finer points to follow to get it just right. I did a search for Presto Pots pour valve, spout, and general, but I couldn't find the thread you're talking about, although I do remember reading it some time ago. My main concern, if I were going to install a pour spout, would be to do it without hitting the heating elements. Do you have a link to the thread that discusses that? gone2long
Mark for whatever reason the site isn't letting me link to the thread but here's a tip while doing a search on here as well as any other forum that makes life easier, to the right of the search line is the shape of a gear click on that and type presto pot pour spout you should get 17 hits on that alone, the 6th thread down open and scroll down from the top of the thread GBGONE posted a link that should help you out that's the only one I opened so check them all out after that you should find what you need, let us know how you make out!
