weedsnager
I've been having the fish eye problem.. I stir mine in a plastic cup, and then apply to the bait...what are you guys using to wipe the bait down before you apply envirotex?
xtx
First I try my best not to touch the bait with my fingers after is painted. If I were to get a little dust on them, I wipe them off with a dry clean rag... gently. I have had no problems if I follow those rules. Also u want to make sure your paint is totally dry. Its a PIA, but works for me.
saltshaker
I've been doing 20-25 lures per week with Etex with no issues at all. It's 1000% better than Devcon, IMO.....at least, for me.
muskyslayer96
After the lure is sealed I never touch again without gloved hands...if you have been handling them without gloves, the natural oils from your skin can cause issues. Wipe down with some denatured alcohol. Also some paints will cause this, I have a pearl orange paint I hand mix and it cause fisheyes if the etex hasn't set up enough. I've also had that happen if my mix wasn't exactly 50/50, are you using syringes to measure? A lot of syringes purchased at stores contain silicone to make them slide better...very bad for etex. Get them from a rod building supply store. Best of luck, etex has ruined many a day for me during the learning curve. Best MS
