Syringe And Needle For Epoxy

Recommended Posts

An update on the syringes for epoxy. I ended up buying a set of syringes with needles like those used for refilling ink cartridges. The needles were long enough that I could cut them to a length that matched the deepest holes I drill for hangers and line ties. Not sure exactly what gauge the needles are, but they are large enough to work great. They're also small enough in diameter that the needle will fit in the lip slot and allow that to be filled as well. The needle length allows me to insert the needle all the way to the bottom of the hole and slowly pull it back as the epoxy is shot into the hole. This keeps out any air bubbles and assures 100% contact between the hook hanger, epoxy and wood. Only way I could be happier is if someone came over and did it for me. :D
