Markell
I thought the plastic experts would be better for this one. Lately I have been dipping spinnerbait trailer hooks in plastic. (the hook eye end). I do this to eliminate storing additional items to install trailer hooks. I have not caught a fish on the trailer hook yet but It has held up through hours of fishing. I am satisfied with the performance. But, am I taking a chance of losing a fish doing this? I just want to make adding a trailer a little quicker on the water. Any thoughts? SeminoleFan
Markell, I dont see any reason why you would lose a fish by dipping your hook eye into plastic. I personaly use plastic tubing that you get at walmart for fishtank air lines. No problems. Rick
Tm Customs
Ive tryed this idea a long time ago, no good the plastic is too soft even with hardener. It is a better to use tubing and not risk losing a big fish. I lost several hooks in fish and suggest you stick with tubing. Tm
