I have only used it twice and like how it looks. I Cant remember the name of the epoxy I use, its 5 min epoxy I bought from Hobby Lobby for $10.00. gone2long Posted December 14, 2013 Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 Devcon 2 ton 30 minute the 5 minute is not sufficient open time in my opinion I mean if your only doing 1 bait at a time it may work for you but the 30 min open time is desired when doing several baits at a time, are you using a wheel when top coating? It also yellows very fast and is not waterproof like the 30 minute. It will eventually break down. 30 minute or Etex is the way to go. BobP Posted December 15, 2013 Report Share Posted December 15, 2013 Brad - 5 minute quick cure epoxy has two problems. It cures too fast to level out properly, and the hardener it uses will make the epoxy turn yellow or even an ugly brown in a fairly short period of time, compared to slow cure epoxies.
