jholland
I need a good recipe for Zoom's Black Grape. Been experimenting for a long time on this color and just cannot get it right. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
alsworms
Have you tried Lure Craft's black grape? Unless they changed, it was dead on when I used it.
Bassinfool
The lure craft black grape is what I use and if it isn't spot on its really really really close.
jholland
Thanks for the info! How much LC Black Grape are you using in 4oz of plastic to get the desired color?
Bassinfool
I'm on vacation so I can't give you the exact recipe but if I remember correctly it is somewhere in the ball park of 30 drops per 1/2 cup of plastic. Don't hold me to that though, I can give you a better answer when I get home in a week!
jholland
I really appreciate it! This color has been perplexing me for some reason. Why is it that the easiest ones can turn out to be the hardest. Crazy! Enjoy the Vacation and look forward to your reply.
Bassinfool
Just how it is sometimes, but that's part of the fun of this hobby is being able to experiment with your own recipe and create something specifically to your liking. alsworms
Same mixture on my end. 15 drops in 4 ounces of plastic, which is dead on with Bassinfool. If I made Junebug (which for me was black grape with green flake), I'd use 10 drops because I wanted the green to show a little more. Bassinfool
Alright, back from the trip and found my exact black grape recipe is 1/2 cup plastic with 28 drops of black grape, 6 drops purple and 1 drop black all those colors are from lure craft. I took some pictures but they're hard to see but I will post them later.

Bassinfool
Hope these pics show up well, it was hard to get a good picture outside today with the cloud cover using only my cell phone. Anyways, here they are.
jholland
Those look great. Mine always turn out to black. Thanks again.

MonteSS
Sometimes Black Grape looks a little blue. A couple drops of red will make it more grape.
