Capt Ray
For those of you using the BSI epoxy, what/how are you measuring the equal parts. What is the average working time, and what is the cure to hard time? I understand temperature and humidity has a role but just an average time. Pretty much just use DEVCON 2T but though I would give this a try since the 30 min is getting harder to find. Thanks,
weedsnager
I measure in a cup,, on a scale. I use the 30 min, and the working time is not very long, maybe 10 Min.
nedyarb
I use a scale to weigh it, maybe ten minutes on the 30. But the 20 min is a lot like etex, more like 20 minutes to apply it.
Capt Ray
Does the 20 min eventually turn yellow or does it remain clear? 10 min is not that bad, I get about 7 min with the DEVCON depending in the humidity and temperature. Richard Prager
I have found that mixing, temp and humidity is far more critical than exact measuring when concerning BSI 30 min Slow Cure. i do and 8 count from each bottle. If the epoxy doesn't "flow" onto the bait, then warm the bottle a bit with a heat gun. I paint and finish about 20 baits a week and have almost 100% success rate on the curing of the epoxy. This is not like e-tex and some others where measurement is critical. I also do not thin the BSI. Been doing it this way for a couple of years. I have enough working time to do two baits about the size of a 2.5.

Capt Ray
I appreciate it. Good price just need to investigate the shipping, that's where they usually get you. Edited December 30, 2013 by Capt Ray
Richard Prager
The shipping is about the same as gas and your time to go shopping for it. They do have a rewards program and the cheapest BSI I can find. I also buy their brushes in bulk.
RayburnGuy
Richard makes a good point. If the company your ordering supplies from gives you a halfway decent price on shipping you can get something shipped to you cheaper than driving ten or fifteen miles to pick it up.
