MuddyCreekFisherman
i have a buddy of mine that asked me if i could make him a walleye lure. now the problem with that is. i mainly fish bass so i have no clue what to look for as far as designing one??? he gave me a basic description of it but it just sounds like a crankbait to me. any ideas? if so i picture of a design would be nice to go off of or atleast a picture of a lure. -thanks
Vandy
Look up a Berkley Flicker Shad. Most walleye lures seem to be just longer and leaner crankbaits.

barr5150
For river trolling we use flicker shads and rapala floaters rigged on 3 ways or lead core. For casting on rivers I like suspending jerk baits. For pond or lake fishing I've had luck on suspending jerks and regular bass style cranks. Reelentless
Google-Reef Runner 800 and Rapala Deep husky jerk if he's looking for a great trolling bait. Use a lot of Original floaters handlining as well. Shouldn't be that big of a deal..Shad or minnow shaped. He can take any bait to the depth he wants running snap weights, lead core, down riggers and so on.
tekoutdoors.co
Walleyes mainly hit minnow or shad type cranks. I have not had luck on the fatter cranks that bass go after. Husky jerks, countdowns, flicker shads, smash shads, original floaters, etc. We mainly fish for walleyes up here so I don't have much bass stuff but a ton of walleye cranks. clemmy
As above, also storm hot-n-tot, lindy shadling, reef runner ripshad and deep lil ripper, rapala shad rap, rapala taildancer, cordell wallydiver. Besides bright colors, common prey to immitate would be emerald shiners, redtail shiners (which are actually horneyhead chubs), ciscoes(tulibee), shad and perch. For a couple of weeks in fall a frog bait is awesome.. I miss living up in Minnesota!

Seeking 56
From the walleyes I've seen in aquariums they're black, so I suspect they turn white when they're out of the water for a prolonged period of time.
