Tritonchin
I just received my solarez from fed ex. I dipped a bait and let it drip the excess off. Then put in the nail lite. Let it sit in the lite for five minutes it hardened in general but still had a slight tacky feel to it. What did I do wrong. I also noticed that my finger prints were noticeable on bait. Any help would be great
bass100
Not all solarez products are equal. You first must make sure what you ordered says that it cures to "bone dry". If it doesn't state that then it will be tacky. If you have the right product then your light may be the issue. I don't use nail lights so I can't give you any info on that light. If you do a search you will find that all these questions are answered in one post. There is a bit of info here on curing and if you call them they will help you out http://www.tanninglamps4less.com/uvcuring.html
mark poulson
Here's what I use. I use a nail light box, rotate the lure 180 degrees every 30 seconds, for three minutes, and it comes out hard and ready for fish. http://www.solarez.com/productsnew/gloss.html Edited January 14, 2014 by mark poulson
Jdeee
If the sun is out hang it outside for a while. It should be rock hard in an hour. If not it's the Solarez. I usually put it under the light until the surface cures and then hang them outside to finalize the cure.
Cougarftd
Also...does not matter if cold out...UV rays are what cures it. If it is the right stuff, the nail light should do it.

mark poulson
I just posted a frog that I painted and top coated with Solarez today. Three minutes in the nail box, and it's hard as nails (no pun intended).
barrybait
My solarez has a surfacing agent that rises to the surface and helps with that bone dry feel. Since it rises to the top, I shake up the solarez real well before dipping some out for use. Otherwise, my understanding is that you use up the surfacing agent and may not get the same dry feel. Also, one drop of curing agent in the mix can be good insurance for complete curing. I don't have a uv light source and just use outside light.
