TxBuddha
I'm about to buy a Do It Pro Series 1262 to pour round head jigs with ring and barb collar to pour A-Rig heads. This is a 1/4 oz round head using Eagle Claw 630/635 hooks per Do It. Is there another hook, Gamakatsu, Mustad, Owner, ????, that will work in this mold? I haven't pulled the trigger just yet because of this, the Eagle Claws are a bit long for the baits I want to use and I'm not sure what other hooks will work properly in this mold. It appears the Gama 114 or the Owner 5313 might be viable replacements, are there any others??
smalljaw
The Owner 5313 should fit as the 630 EC is a heavy hook, but if you want a good mold for A-rig baits why not the new Do-it Shad head, it is a shad head with a wire keeper that goes from 1/8oz up to 7/16oz and it uses the 3/0 and 4/0 Mustad 32886 or the Eagle Claw Black Platinum 3886 hooks. I've poured a lot of them and they have an eye socket for 3D eyes if you want to add them but they are an excellent head for grubs and swim baits in the 3.5" to 5" range.
