Advice On Blade Preferences And Color Combos

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the board and can't wait to learn from everyone on here. I've been on my own making inline trout spinners for about the past 2-3 years now and I've kinda stuck with just the 3-4 patterns I feel comfortable with making. I'm trying to diversify a bit, though, so I was wondering if you guys had any preferences on blade styles to use or different color combos you use? I started tying my own bucktail treble hooks this year so that's my newest addition but I'm looking to mix things up a little more. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Here is a picture of the styles I've been working on. The ones on the right are the ones that I make on a regular basis. I started doing the dressings this week and I think they are looking pretty good. I'm just looking to see if there are any change ups I could try out. What about switching out the Indiana blade for a Colorado or Willow blade? Maybe some different color combo's?
