mattyg
Hi everyone, I'm new to the board and can't wait to learn from everyone on here. I've been on my own making inline trout spinners for about the past 2-3 years now and I've kinda stuck with just the 3-4 patterns I feel comfortable with making. I'm trying to diversify a bit, though, so I was wondering if you guys had any preferences on blade styles to use or different color combos you use? I started tying my own bucktail treble hooks this year so that's my newest addition but I'm looking to mix things up a little more. Thanks for any advice you can offer! mattyg
Here is a picture of the styles I've been working on. The ones on the right are the ones that I make on a regular basis. I started doing the dressings this week and I think they are looking pretty good. I'm just looking to see if there are any change ups I could try out. What about switching out the Indiana blade for a Colorado or Willow blade? Maybe some different color combo's?
mattyg
sorry the picture isn't the greatest. The style is pretty much a brass or nickel size 2 Indiana blade with a staggered pattern of 1 3mm, 2-3 4mm, and 1 5mm bead in the matching color, followed by a 6mm colored bead.
