vabassen02
Hay guys , need major help with cinnamon color . I have tried a few times but does not like a worm I have . Any help to point in the right direction would be great . Thanks
alsworms
It would help if you could post a picture of the cinnamon worm you have. Reason being is cinnamon is different in the eyes of many. Some like it with a reddish tint, while others prefer a lighter brown. If you're looking for something like a Yamamoto cinnamon, MF's cinnamon is dead-on.

alsworms
Hmmmm........that definitely has a reddish tint to it, but looks more like an oxblood than cinnamon. Maybe try Lure Craft's oxblood color to start. Very small quantities; 1 drop per ounce of plastic. Is it just me, or does that picture show a red vein in the worm? Or is that just the reflection? gone2long
almost looks like sweet potato.
Bassinfool
Think that is just a reflection als. I think it looks a lot like maybe oxblood, natural and sweet potato colors mixed together. Weird color, I'd love to see it in person to get a better idea of what it really is.
vabassen02
Thanks guys , I have both dyes will work on it tomorrow morning . I will post a pic for you guys after I am done . No red vain, just one color worm . Fingers crossed
Bassinfool
Good luck! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
alsworms
I'll just go ahead and smack myself upside the head right now....... Sweet Potato........GREAT CALL! Sure looks like it! Now to make things even more interesting, that pic sure looks like there's red in it. Since there's no red vein, is that red flake that I see? How about a light sweet potato with small red flake? And that brings me to the next great call: NATURAL Man that color saved me soooooooo many times. If the red isn't from the flake, then maybe it's a natural mix? Or maybe I'm not seeing red at all, and I'm just getting old? LOL Whatever the case, there's nothing like a good color challenge, and like Bassinfool said......can't wait to see what you come up with. Post pics! MonteSS
Light pumpkin + orange = sweet potatoe which is where I would start.
Bassinfool
Hey Va, I know you got your sweet potato colorant but I tried to match that color based on your picture and I think I got it or at least I am pretty close. My pictures don't do the color justice because my work area isn't lit the best and the camera on my phone is garbage haha. 1/2 cup plastic 2 drops pumpkinseed 2 drops natural 2 drops orange 2 drops white Without having the worm I can't really tell if that is as close as I think it is but you may want to add another drop of white if it isn't as "bright" as the one you have pictured. After I made those I melted them down and made a new little drop shot color I'm really liking that has .008 purple and .015 red flake. alsworms
Great lookin' worms. Glad you got it figured out!
Bassinfool
I don't know if those are a really close match or not without having the actual worm on hand, but at the very least it may be able to point him in the right direction. MonteSS
That sweet potatoe in a laminate with green pumpkin w/orange flake is my go to color. {like Alabama craw}
Bassinfool
Like this, Monte? This is Berkley Havoc's Big Texan color, I've made my own version as well and it is a great flipping color like you said. I really like it in the 702 craw on the back of a jig, or even rigged on a spot sticker when I'm fishing a rocky bottom for big spots.
