mark poulson
Spurk, I've found that if I let them cure for about 2-3 weeks, the smell is gone. Just don't put them in the tackle box before that. I did notice that I had a soft plastic worm touching one of my lures and it sort of melted into the lure a bit. This must be a chemical reaction so if you have a lure with a soft plastic trailer etc. don't store them so they touch. Frog, Soft plastic will melt AC1315, too. I put plastic worm onto my rats as tails. To protect them from melting, I paint the area around the attachment point with clear nail polish. mark poulson
If you're asking about AC1315, I wouldn't use it on any bait/lure which has a plastisol trailer attached, because the AC1315 will melt at the point of attachment. I either powder coat my jig heads, or coat them with nail polish. The clear polish holds up really well, because it is designed to protect the colored polishes it covers. The colors are too soft alone. Edited February 20, 2016 by mark poulson
