dlaery
On page 153 in the newest Hagen's catalog are some screw eyes. they are nickel plated brass. 0.040" diameter. I am looking at the 2 smallest sizes, one has a closed eye the other is open. In the open eyed one, is that made to put on something like a swivel or hook and then bend the eyelet closed? Is that strong enough to catch panfish 2 or 3 lbs? thanks! sorry for the dumb question.
mark poulson
Yes, if the wood you are using is strong. I know largemouth bass are really a sunfish, like bluegill, but are you really getting into 3lb panfish? dlaery
actually this is to go in lead. I think he wants this strong enough to be able catch a 3lb crappie in Mississippi. I have been asked to help make the mold. I have never used these screw eyes, I thought it might be better than having a custom wire made to fit in a jig mold with slight modification. Thanks!
