finlander
I have read on how the tails need only 2 or so coats while the bodies you can figure 4 or 5 dips. Do you dip the full length twice, and then the body?? How do you keep the plastic from builing up a 'shoulder'/collar/ridge??? Here's one I just thought of. If you removed some of the aluminum on the rod, equall to a couple dips of the plastic. Do you follow?? Like a 1" drill bit that has been taken down to fit a 1/4" chuck. Then you can dip the 'body' twice, up to the collar, then dip the full length twice, and then you have the smooth full length. Are these being used already?? Thanks, I'm done rambling.... finlander
Started with a new batch of Calhoun and kept the temp up there and this seemed to smooth out the 'collar' I had been getting.
