scrubs
Remember Charlie Brewer and his do nothing technique? Ok, it was jigs and not plugs but what plug action comes the closest? Gliders maybe? What would be equivalent in a tiny trout/panfish plug? Inquiring minds want to know, bill
RayburnGuy
I would think that a suspending, or really slow sinking, bait would be close to what your talking about. I recently built a minnow type jerkbait that would suspend perfectly in 54 degree water temp. I had to wrap some lead wire around the front hook to get it to do this. I watched it in the water for at least 30 seconds one time and it never moved up or down. This is a technique that is usually reserved for cold water since the fish are more lethargic. When the water temp goes up so does their metabolism and that is when they usually prefer something moving. Ben
scrubs
Thanks guys. I was just wondering how little action a plug could really have. Actually the small/tiny count down rapalas work better for me here on trout in the winter. And they have a pretty good wiggle. bill
