TrinityLureCompany
Hi guys hope this hasn't been answered before but was wondering the advantage of GST compared to Etrex. I see you can dip it (which would be awesome) but also seen guys talking about a 2-3 week cure time. I have been using Etrex for 2 years and really like the stuff once I clued in how it works. So I am wondering why so many are switching to GST? Am I missing something? Thanks for the help and all the info on here. Mike
Nathan
The dipping is the biggest plus...dip, hang and your done...as for th 2-3 week cure time, that is when it maxes out...you can use them after about 24 hrs..There are several top coats that continue to cure for several weeks...Nathan
A-Mac
I think epoxy still has the hands down best finish, but Eagle Supreme (concrete sealers) do put a nice shine on the lure and a simple, easy, and fast. I can dip 15 lures in a matter of minutes.

Cougarftd
I think the biggest plus for GST is it adds very little weight to your lure...4-5 dips of GST is not even half of what epoxie adds. GST will not change the performance of a bait
saltshaker
There are situations in which there is just no option other than epoxy. Foiling, photo-finishing and such can best be done with epoxy to hide the edges. Never tried GST, but, Dick Nite doesn't do too well. Plus, it jacks with your adhesive where epoxy doesn't. Etex ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
