The green weeine color is very nice. The mold is from Del Mart and recipe for which stick? BassnG3
Tm Customs
I got 5 or 6 stixs they all seemed to be the same to me and they don't have an egg sack like bob's older modles? I was just wondering how much salt softener you use?
Finger Lakes Bait Company
TM, The Smallmouth in my area really like the grub. I put it on a small jig head and pop it off the bottom. Glad you like the baits, I have to say that there are some real talented folks we have in our midst. A special thanks to Deadly Streamer for all his work in this swap. Good fishin to all! cflbasser
Cflbasser: Are you using any salt in your baits? Yes, I'm using salt. About 2 tbs per 8 oz plastic. You have some nice looking baits CF but the sink rate is to slow. Thanks for the compliment and, uh, "constructive criticism"?? But, maybe this is the sink rate I desire? The fish seem to like the slower sink rate, as well as the heavier salted baits. Different strokes, for different folks, FF.
Tm Customs
Cflbasser I argee that sometimes less salt is better, but try adding about 1/4cup softener per cup of plastic and see if you get better results I have found that they seem to hang on to them longer when there soft. Fish_N_Fool
Hey cflbasser . I was not tring to put your baits down or anything like that. I was just tring to help. That great that you like them with less salt but I know that if your selling them to customers, , 95% of them would expect a faster sinking bait more like a real senko. I was trying to point out that your most likely using a whole lot less salt in your baits then the other guys that are making senko type baits. But I must also point out that the more salt you add the easier the bait tears up, it's a trade off. But if your happy with your baits the way they are great. If not maybe some of you guys would share how much salt your using and how you add it. I grind my salt in a mill till it is like flour, a fine dust, the smaller particals suspend in the plastic longer. Then in a 2 cup pyrex cup I put in like 3/4 cup of salt then add 3/4 cup uncooked plastic. for a 50,50 mix. I stir it good and re-add plastic till it gets to the 1 1/2 cup line. In all my salt baits I use this 50 ,50 mix. I went out fishing again the other night and tried a few other baits, most of the guys that made senko type baits caught fish, and a tried some curl tail worms , no action (fish) on them at all. and I tried some of the weird creature type baits, they just scared the fish away. LOL I got a few fish on a Tantrum lures Buzz bait and a bunch on my sink baits. About 25 fish in all. None big but was lots o fun.
