Skiin Ian
I was wonder what plastic everyone is using to pour slow sinking stick baits with? Is everyone using MF 502?
gone2long
Soft or Super soft is more often used along with softener and salt as the salt will stiffen the plastic.
Bassinfool
I'm using LW med/soft pourasol with 2 1/4 T salt and 3/4 T softener in 1/2 cup of plastic. A Yamamoto senko was 11g and mine end up weighing between 10.8-11g and a great looking wiggle. Give it a try, play with it until you get it the way you want it.
MonteSS
I use medium Calhouns. 4 oz plastic 2 heaping tablespoons pickling salt 2 level tablespoon softener
ipt
montess is pretty close. most of us use medium (for consistency) and add our own softener. then the amount of salt (which makes it sink) is all personal preference.
Bassinfool
Clarity is the only real issue I have using powdered salt. May have to try the restaurant salt, Bob. Is it essentially the same thing as table salt?
Bassinfool
I don't know the reasoning behind the non-iodized salt either. Only time I really see iodine is at work in the ER when we're prepping a body part for sterility. I'll give it a try, if it doesn't look better than the powdered salt I can always go back.
